We are on the lookout for the newest member of our Resource Management Act (RMA) Compliance Team. If you are a motivated and community‑minded professional this could be your next opportunity.

About the role:

As an RMA Compliance Officer, you'll be part of a team that promotes positive environmental outcomes for our district. You'll carry out compliance monitoring, respond to environmental concerns, and help ensure our community meets its obligations under the Resource Management Act. No two days are the same - your work will take you from the office to the field, connecting with people from all walks of life.

This role suits someone who thrives on variety, communicates with ease and professionalism, and is confident working with autonomy. You will work directly with our community, so your ability to stay calm under pressure and engage respectfully with a broad range of customers is essential.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • A tertiary qualification in a related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills—able to adapt your style to different audiences
  • Composure, professionalism, and the ability to navigate challenging situations with confidence
  • Well‑developed facilitation skills to educate and support our customers
  • Strong investigative and problem‑solving abilities
  • A genuine passion for contributing to positive environmental and community outcomes
