ICT Systems Engineer

Working in our purpose built facility in central Whangārei we are currently looking for an ICT Systems Engineer to work within a supportive team ensuring the effective operation of ICT Infrastructure alongside the facilitation, development and delivery of ICT Infrastructure focused projects and emerging technologies.

As part of the ICT Systems Engineering Team the successful applicant will manage ICT Infrastructure related incidents and requests while also ensuring security of WDC ICT environment.

The role will also include:

  • Identification of infrastructure risks to the WDC ICT environment
  • Maintenance and development of existing systems
  • Management of ICT operational and system improvements
  • Active support of BAU upgrades, updates and improvements to infrastructure and application suite
  • Championing and delivering a secure working environment.

If you think you have what it takes to be successful in this role and are eager for us to consider your application, you will need to be able to demonstrate the following attributes:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology or Computer Science
  • Experience as a Systems or Cloud Engineer
  • Hands-on experience in the design, implementation, monitoring and maintenance of complex IT systems
  • A good understanding of supporting change management and control
  • Ability to maintain operating systems, physical systems, and installed systems with system management tools
  • Experience or a strong interest in developing expertise in Cyber Security Systems
  • Experience in Enterprise networks
  • Experience in Authentication and Identity
  • Proficiency across Microsoft technologies, Cloud platforms, Virtualization, storage, and application delivery
