ICT Systems Engineer

Working in our new purpose built facility in central Whangarei we are currently looking for an experienced ICT Systems Engineer to support in the facilitation, development and delivery of ICT Infrastructure focused projects and emerging technologies.

As part of the ICT Systems Engineering Team the successful applicant will manage ICT Infrastructure related incidents and requests while also ensuring security of WDC ICT environment. The role will also include:

  • Identification of infrastructure risks to WDC ICT environment
  • Maintenance and development of existing systems
  • Management of ICT operational and system improvements
  • Active support of BAU upgrades, updates and improvements to infrastructure and application suite
  • Championing and delivering a secure working environment

If you think you have what it takes to be successful in this role and are eager for us to consider your application, you will need to be able to demonstrate the following attributes:

  • Experience with the following applications or technologies:
    • Cisco switching/routing technologies
    • HP/Aruba Switches
    • Next/4th generation Firewalls and associated Technologies
    • VoIP administration experience
    • Azure virtualisation, infrastructure management and support
    • Authentication technologies (MFA, SAML, SSO, ADFS)
    • Device Management and Application deployment (SCCM/Intune)
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly with a varied and broad range of stakeholders
  • Ability to work effectively with others through development of strong working relationships and provision of clear well thought out advice
  • Relevant industry qualifications including ITIL Foundation, Network+, CCA, CCNA, MCSA
  • Extensive experience in LAN/WAN development, security, and support
  • Extensive knowledge of systems security

  • Salary range $77,900 - $91,660
  • Location of Work - Whangarei CBD
  • Hours of work - 37.5 per week
