Whangarei District Council is charged with providing local government services to around 87,700 people in the Whangarei District, managing $1.5bn of community, waste, water and transport assets, and managing land use in the District which stretches from Langs Beach in the south to Bland Bay in the north. Council is a key player in ensuring that Whangarei continues to prosper and as an employer we have the luxury of being large enough to offer great opportunities and small enough to provide superb working relationships.
