Are you an experienced administrator with great communication and leadership skills? An opportunity has arisen for the right person to fill the Team Leader role within the Infrastructure Development team at the Whangarei District Council. Excellent administration skills combined with a sound and proven knowledge of Microsoft Office programs is an essential requirement for this position. You will be part of a busy team that has a strong focus on first class customer service and a commitment to do whatever it takes to provide outstanding support to the Infrastructure Group.

We are looking for a person with:

• A talent for leading people
• Experience providing general as well as technical administrative support to the Infrastructure Group
• Ongoing assistance with the development of administrative systems
• Contract management and administration experience, including making contract payments, and undertaking payment reconciliation
• An understanding of accounts payable, purchase orders and budgets
• Internal auditing to meet ISO accreditation requirements
• Strong communication and leadership experience
